I think there must be some unwritten law that no construction project starts on time. We were supposed to start moving the house today, but the date has been postponed until Friday. At least our mover had an excuse. His wife had a baby this week! Now it's supposed to start raining today and rain through Friday so it may be next week before we get started with the actual move. In the meantime, Duke Power came and cut the power and removed the old pole. The gas company came and got the propane tank. Without electricity we have no water.
The ever-curious guineas had to run over and inspect this new addition to their yard.
We are now hauling water from the pond to flush the toilet. And I'm sitting in McDonald's parking lot to read e-mail, so you'll know if I don't answer e-mails right away. Someday, this too shall pass.
